Daily (now weekly) Devlog #3 - Track Acceptance And Change To Schedule

[IMPORTANT!] I WILL BE CHANGING DEVBLOG SCHEDULES

It will no longer be daily, as I overestimated how much I can do in a day, so now it will be every week instead. Anyways, without further ado, here's what I have been doing in the past two days.

Track Displaying

Now, at the end of the line on the right, you can see what trains will end up on which lines. Before it'd be a complete guess.

Also the collision boxes (you can see them on the top right corner of the picture above) have actual code implemented in them to check which train passed through where. (I think I explained this in the last devblog).

Condensing unnecessary code

This was a pretty big chunk that worked before... But I just learnt today that there would be a more efficient way of doing this and instead of having multiple materials made for each color, you'd be able to have one material and be able to change the parameter (in this case the color) and save a lot of space and dignity!

Change of banner of itch.io

Who needs photoshop amiright? I got this good shot in Eject mode and used my Affinity Designer to add on the extra sign! It turned out pretty well and I think I'll use this as my project banner!

Oh also I made a new project profile picture ^^ Idk which is better but I'mma use this for now.

Also had to update the gameplay photo because that was also outdated AF, now it actually looks somewhat playable!

Github Project

I apologize for the change of scheduling of the devblogs, but it really helps with the quality of devblogs per week instead of having them rushed out like this on a daily basis. I realized my limits and decide to change the schedule accordingly. But before I sign off for the day, here's something for yall.

Don't worry, there's still a way to keep track of our progress in between devblogs!

Here is the link to the Github project in our repo if you want to track the progress in development. We will update this basically every change so it's a good way to keep track of what we are working on in between devbloges.

We hope to see you on there, signing off,
