Daily Devlog #1 - Cleaning code and Emergency button
Howdy,
It's been a day since the site launched and I just want to update on the development progress. I have also sorted them into categories below:
Cleaning Up Code
I have decided to cleanup what I did a few weeks prior (when I did barely anything good and inefficiently) Just look at this...
Before:
After:
Anyways, besides cleaning up some code and regrouping some assets into their respective folders, we've also done some work on an emergency button.
Emergency Button!
It will make all the trains on the rail stop at once for five seconds before they are allowed to pass again.
It is located on the bottom right of the screen,
It is functional, however the SoundFX for breaks was less than pleasant. Therefore we will definitely come back and work on the SFX at a later date. For now, it gets all the jobs done and it will stop the trains dead in their tracks. (haha)
We are also paying very close attention to detail. We have added sparks to the train wheels when the Emergency Stop button is pressed.
But yea that's all for today, see you tomorrow.
